If you want to learn math, science, history or literature, we have to memorize information or formulas so that we can get a good score on a test. When you attended school, your teacher probably told you learning English was difficult and takes many years.
The bad news is that your teacher was right; if you study a new language the way you study for your science test, it will take a looooooong time to learn English (or any language).
DO NOT LEARN LANGUAGE LIKE A SCHOOL SUBJECT!
Learning English is like learning to play soccer, or any sport; you can study the game, but if you want to play it, you have to play it. This means that you should practice some skills by repeating over and over again, like pronunciation. Soccer players do not memorize therules of the game, they remember that they can or cannot do something because they tried it in a game or practice and were told “Sorry, you can’t do that”.
Learn English this way.
